Meet Raymond Stengel
Over the past 25+ years, Ray has led or been a senior contributing member to the HR/Compensation and Benefits functions at some "Best-in-Class" Top Fortune Companies, including:
- American Express
- First American
- RGA | Reinsurance Group of America
He has created and managed compensation and benefit programs across several countries, including: the US, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, UAE and Venezuela.
Ray's primary area of focus is compensation strategy, plan design and administration, including:
- Base Salary Programs -- job pricing and pay structures;
- Management Bonus Plans;
- Sales and Variable Incentive Plans; and
- Executive Compensation Plans.
He has created and managed compensation programs for all levels of employees -- from members of Boards of Directors and C-suite executives down through all management and professional/ support staff employees. Also, Ray has been an advisor to Compensation Committees of Boards of Directors, and have prepared and presented management's recommendations to these Committees.
Ray is a frequent speaker at SHRM and WorldatWork meetings. Also, he has presented at the national level at industry and vendor conferences. Ray was awarded the American Compensation Association's (predecessor group to WorldatWork) Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to his profession and sharing this expertise with his peers. This is one of the highest honors that this association bestows to very select members.
A graduate of the University of Delaware, Ray earned both his Bachelor of Science and Masters in Public Administration degrees.
